Photograph the pram in your hallway and it is listed before the kettle boils.
The Whole Of It

How Replay Kids Goes

Two parents, one pram, and the money held safely in between. Here is exactly what happens, in the order it happens, before you start.

Passing One On

  1. You photograph it where it stands. In the hallway, in the shed, on the lawn. Daylight and the part that shows its age.
  2. The words come back written. What it is, where it belongs, the condition as it honestly looks. Every line is yours to keep, change or throw out.
  3. You say the part only you know. The walks it did, the winter it saw, why it is going. A few questions, all of them yours to skip.
  4. You choose how it travels. They come and collect it, or you post it. One tap, and the zones and the rates stay entirely ours.
  5. Somebody chooses it, and pays in full. Your address reaches them at that moment and reaches nobody else. They arrive having already paid.
  6. It reaches them, and the money reaches you. It lands in your own account. Replay Kids keeps 10 per cent on the day it sells, and that is the only money between us.

Looking For One

  1. You find it, and read what the family said about it. Written by the parent who lived with it, which tells you more than any photograph.
  2. You pay, and we hold it. The money sits with us rather than going straight across. You learn where to collect it at that moment.
  3. You stand in front of it, or it lands on your step. Take as long as you like. Lift it, fold it, push it up the hall.
  4. You press one button, and the money goes across. Collecting it, you say whether it is what you want while it is still in front of you. Posted, you say the day it arrives.

Why The Money Waits

It waits because it protects both of you. Whoever is buying knows the money stays put until the pram is genuinely in their hands. Whoever is selling knows the person arriving has already paid every cent, so there is a price to argue about with nobody, and cash to count with nobody.

Two parents who have never met can hand a cot over on a Saturday morning and both of them already know how it ends.
